Year 4, 2007

Not much to report for this year.  Other things in life kept me busy, or broke.  (like the Diplomat)  Plus, after finding out the K-frame was broke (which I knew was going to eventually happen), I was really discouraged.  As such, I didn't really do much with it.

While getting tires for my fiancé I found a deal on 285/40s for the rear.  Definitely made a marked improvement in the rubber dept.  Didn't get to drive it, because, well, the k is still broken (rear driver's mount rotted out)

August

Well, after another 4 months (racing the Diplomat, having that being a distraction) I sold it in July and had some spare time.  Well, finally started on the 300.

Now why did the engine have to come out?  Well, the trans is toast.  And my buddy Frank had one laying around that we pulled together the previous winter (out of one of my old trucks, funny isn't it?).  Also, the freeze plug next to the starter developed a pin-hole leak.  Note to self, next motor build, replace the freeze plugs!  Oh yeah, and the carb bowl cracked over the winter, and hey, lets chop off the crappy exhaust, too!  BTW: this was so easy it isn't funny.  Will do more engine pulls/installs this way in the future!

Time for some caption cutups!  I'm on the left, wondering, what happened to everything that goes here.  Frank is on the right, just saying hi to all you folks out there!

Spent the rest of 2007 getting organized for my new prize, and the 300 took a back seat.  Still residing under the car canopy.  Have most everything to put it back together, but never found time or the energy.  If I hadn't found racing (at this point, my 02 Neon took over Autocrossing duties) I probably would've been more motivated.
