Welcome to discomopars.com!

January 2009 edition

This site is about the preservation, restoration, and just plain ol' enjoyment of the post-musclecar era Mopars.  The main focus is the post-74 Mopar Rear Wheel Drive cars, but we all know that some cool trucks, vans, compacts and front wheel drives also came out of what is generally considered "the dark ages" for performance from the factory. The mission of this site is to spread awareness of these "new classics." Showcasing their potential, as well as letting the aftermarket see some potential areas for them to grow and market their products. Also, it provides a home for my projects, and hopefully others as well.

Pic of the Month: 79 Chrysler LeBaron owned by Michael Fulton

     "
For your consideration, attached you will find pics of my 1979 Chrysler Lebaron project, entitled; "Full Metal Jacket" I call her that because of the F, M, J platform she represents. While there are no J-body parts on her now, she used to have a bucket seat interior from a Mirada."  The LeBaron has a built 360 with floor shift 727 automatic. It has the center console and shifter from a Volare roadrunner. It has a copcar 81/4 rear end with a sure-grip 3:55 gears. I also have a complete set of Volare Roadrunner wheel flares and front spoiler to add to her. She will soon be wearing a Spectrum(Sunrise) interior from a '78 Volare, too.  Cool car Michael!

Please visit the forum and lets start expanding the community!

Don't forget to visit Vioparts as this is what sponsors discomopars and keeps the website running.

I'm still updating the Chrysler 300's "restification" section (car is a work in progress) and there is a page for the Diplomat I autocrossed for a half season. Check them out here.
